Astra Achieves Orbit!

Hello fellow space enthusiasts! Welcome back to Norminal News! Because we heave so much to catch up on, I figured I would do one small post more frequently for every launch. I would love feedback as to what you like better: long blog posts less frequently, or shorter ones every other day. Thanks!

On November 19, 2021, Astra became another company to reach orbit. After the failure on its sixth launch attempt in late August (which you can see here), Astra was up and ready for their seventh and final orbital attempt. All systems were looking good, the launch was successful, the first stage separated, and the second stage made it all the way into orbit. Because this was a test, the rocket was not carrying a payload, however it did have a mass simulator that weighed as much as some of the payloads it would carry in the future. Astra finally made it to orbit! Ad astra, Astra. (Ad astra means to the stars.)
